New York New York or Treasure Island Las Vegas?

Both are very nice. NY NY has the roller coaster which could pose a problem when trying to sleep or take a nap, depending on the location of your room. The roller coaster can also be heard while sitting at the pool which some people find annoying. NY NY location is fine. It on the corner of a major intersection with 3 other major hotels there plus a few down the way. However, if you like the action of Las Vegas, I think TI might be better for you. They have a nice pirate show outside the hotel. The pool area is very nice. You are next door to Mirage which offers a lot of stuff along with Wynn and the Venetian which are across the street. A 10 minute walk will put you right in the middle of the strip where Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Paris, Bally's, and the Flamingo are located. If it were me, I would choose TI.

I love NYNY. NYNY is on the corner with Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, Tropicana, MGM and Monte Carlo. From Monte Carlo there is a FREE monorail to go to Aria/Cosmo and on to Bellagio. TI is on corner with Venetian/Palozzo, Wynn/Encore and easy walk to next corner.

I've stayed at both and New York New York is the better choice for the money not just because the resort fee is less. Much is made about "center strip" being the best location. But in recent years, the end of The Strip which houses NYNY, Excalibur, MGM Grand, Luxor, and Monte Carlo has become more of the place to be for location and convenience. You've also got a monorail station in the MGM Grand, next door, if you want to venture out further into the center of The Strip, without having to battle for space on the Deuce bus. Also, there are free trams connecting Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay. With a free tram connecting Monte Carlo, Crystals and Bellagio.

If it's comparing cheapest room to cheapest room, T.I will win hands down. Some of the rooms in NYNY (the Skyline rooms) are only about 300 square feet compared to 400 minimums at T.I., and all those rooms have been renovated within the past three years. I prefer T.I.'s location too being across from the Venetian and next to the Mirage (which you can get to via tram), but NYNY is next to the tram from Monte Carlo to Bellagio, and the tram from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay, so I don't think either location is a dealbreaker.

roller coaster wraps around the NYNY, it'll distract your sleep. Go with TI!
