I have to create a drama piece - anyone got any abstract or imaginative/original ideas?

Well that line was very famous in Edgar Allan Poe's poems you can maybe do his original scene The Cask of Amontilado where the theme is "one may smile, yet be a villain", because he seeks revenge towards his villain/enemy. That would be a Horror Scene. You could also do politics like Democratic vs. Republicans debating and you never know which can be a villain with their lies trying to convince the voters.
