Is moneygram safe to use?

MoneyGram is my favourite money transfer company. Not only have the biggest receivers network but they also have really good exchange rate. As long as you know the person you're sending money to I would definitely use MoneyGram!

Moneygram is safe as long as you are sending to someone you personally know and trust. It's not safe if you are sending the money to a person you've never met face to face or if you are sending it to purchase something for sale online But if it's to a good friend you would be much better off sending it as a Gift through Paypal so you are not hit with fees. It's going to cost you £4-5 pounds service fee to send money through Moneygram

I've never used Moneygram so it's hard to say about safety although I know it's quite pricey . Personally I would recommend using Azimo - it's a new service that is a lot cheaper than the likes of moneygram, purely on the basis that it's digital. Instead of getting stung by a huge fee to transfer your modest sum of £40, you'll only get charged between 1-3% of the transaction. Is your friend on your Facebook by any chance? Azimo allows you to chose from your facebook contacts who you send money to, meaning there is no danger that it will be sent to the wrong person. They and you will receive confirmation when the money has been despatched and has landed in the other bank account or is ready for pick up. Check it out - it's really good!
