What is postgraduate masters course best to do?

A Computer Science Graduate looking for a masters course to study. What are the best options if the person is interested in devices and robotics?

  • Answer:

The best university is Carnegie Mellon followed by MIT and Stanford though I don't know if the latter two have exactly robotics masters. I only know of UPenn that also has a robotics masters. That being said, I'm sure you'll find that the top 20-30 engineering schools have great programs that could work for you as well. Here is a good engineering school ranking to start from: http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-engineering-schools/eng-rankings. I'd  say also look at Japanese and German top universities as well, if that is an option. Those two countries together with the US have the best companies that have to do with the robotics industry.

Read the papers in the field with the goal of identifying the professors who are doing the most interesting research. Apply to those schools, and request that those professors be one's master's thesis advisors.
