thats because what you thought was a good idea is not practical ..why not make them like a boat ..and they will float ...uk houses are built of very heavy materials ..those houses on stilts are made of wood ...wont last in the uk climate ...the reality is ..if you add all the cities and towns ..villages together ..how much of the uk will it cover?..answer ...8% ..the other 92% is farms ..forest ..woods ..lakes etc ..extra 2%..would sort it for all
