How do I take care of a bamboo plant?

    if it is a "lucky bamboo" plant with a spiral top, it will continue to grow in water. As the spiral top is artificially shaped, you may lose some of this shape over time as the plant grows.

Just water. Ours was in a gravel rock base to hold the bamboo in place. Whenever the water looked dirty we would pour it out and add more. The place I bought it from (mall kiosk in Puerto Rico) gave me some green liquid to put drops in the water every so often. Whatever it was can be found at plant stores - just some nutrients of some sort I guess.

water is fine. just add to it, no need to change the water. Maybe a bit of fertilizer every couple of weeks and it will be fine.
