That's pretty broad. My wife and I spent a week in St Thomas last March. We had a great time, and we left our rotten kids at home and since it was St Thomas, our cell's worked so we could stay in touch. I would have preferred to stay in St John, but it's very pricey. You can get to St John from St Thomas for a $6 ferry ride, so you can still enjoy it. You can also take day excursions to the British Virgin islands. If you are looking for something affordable, check out the Green Iguana on trip advisor. IT isn't in a fantastic area, but it's clean, very well run, and relatively inexpensive. A car really helps, although driving a left had drive car on the left side of the road is a tad freaky.
