    Some detergents are especially formulated to work better in cold temperatures, but I've found regular Tide does just as well in cold temps as Cold Water Tide or Cheer. I use cold only for my blouses. Everything else I wash in warm, except for sheets in hot.

Ehh its never worked any better for me. I always wash my clothes in cold water unless they are towels. Waste of time and money in my opinion.

it's not. i always wash my clothes in cold water, unless i have a load of white, then i will wash them in warm, I'm sure that a lot of people wash in cold water, you'd be poor if you washed in hot water all the time. It's just something to convince gullible or stupid people to buy, and don't know anything about cleaning, and they think that they will save money.
