Rings under my eyes even when I get enough sleep?

  • Why do I have rings under my eyes even when I have enough sleep? By enough I actually mean like 7-8 hours... or sometimes 6 like tonight because I'm posting this question up. ...show more

  • Answer:

You don't necessarily have to drink just water, just drink more. You might have sleep apnea, which means while you're sleeping, you stop breathing sometimes. A lot of people have it. Do you snore or wake up thinking you have nightmares a lot? That can be a big indicator. Some people stop breathing like, 60 times an hour, and you don't know it because you don't become fully conscious when it happens, but it disrupts your sleep and can really affect your life. You may not be getting enough sleep because of it, even if you think you get enough. If you think you might have it, you can have a sleep study done where they monitor your sleep, no big deal, and if you do have it, you just wear this thing to bed that blows oxygen in your nose to make you breath. If you think you might have it after you look it up, then it's important to get a study done, because it can lead to dementia later in life. Just a thought.

Ohh I have the same problem. It has nothing to do with sleep I've been told, even though if I don't get enough I find they're daker, but if I do get lots of sleep they're the regular darkness.. Poor circulation in that area and congestion can be factors in darkness under and around the eye. Try something to clear out your nasal passage way that will last, or do something on going. Try Hylexin (I was told by a cosmetologist that it really works but I haven't tried it yet cuz I'm poor and it's apparently a bit expensive, but probably not more than $100. You can order it online as well). I actually started using Aveeno Positively Ageless lifting and firming eye cream a few weeks ago and started noticing a difference after one week! It's about 25% lighter now, and my under eye skin is a lot smoother, less dry/flaky (I don't know if you have that problem or not...) and the wrinkles are less obvious. (I'm 22 by the way and have had dark circles/bags under my eyes for as long as I can remember. They're clear in pics of me when I was like, 5. Depressing.) As for makeup (You're a girl right?) I HIGHLY recommend using CoverFX. It covers SO WELL just make sure you match properly. I was using a color too dark/yellow for my skin, even tho I thot it looked ok on the eyes.. when I went to the store to ask about it the girl tried a color 2 tones lighter and it was AMAZING! So much cover, you couldnt even see the darkness. Seriously try CoverFX if you try nothing else because I don't know if there's some kind of medical cure for dark circles but if there isn't, coverFX is the solution. I kid you not and no I'm not a representative for the company trying to boost sales. I have just used it and now that I'm matched properly I feel so much better about my stupid "uncle fester" eyes. I definitely recommend trying the aveeno eye cream though, since I have actually noticed a difference since I started using it a few weeks ago. I hope it continues to lighten my darkness! Good luck, I feel your pain.

You should drink about a liter of water a day. If you have allergies, then the skin beneath your eyes will appear darker -- use a concealer. I found out you could actually drink too much water -- but that is about 5 gallons a day; I drink a lot of water -- enough that I have moved one of the hard to move CBC numbers -- but I'm still within range. I have a lot of allergies, and I've always had dark circles beneath my eyes.

try green tea bags!! um, it could be because your eyes are puffy and that catches the light better making the illusion of less dark circles
