How much did you revise for your O-Levels/GCSEs?

Why can't I revise !! please help :'(!?

  • i really cant revise, i have no idea why i just cant revise, i have a test tomorrow and i cant revise, a start to revise and i just end up going to watch anime :/... help me please i ...show more

    I have this problem too! Revising is really boring, so what you need to do is find a way you can revise in a fun way, making it interesting, because I don't know a single person who can learn from just reading from a book! Maybe write answers on cards and make it into a game or something? It's up to you, as everyone learns differently :) Another tip... if you're trying to learn something, word for word or just a general idea, a really good way of doing it is recording yourself saying it and then playing it in your sleep. I know it sounds dreadful, but when I do this I wake up and I know it off by heart! Give it a go, it might work for you! Hope this helps! :)

Yep procrastination (as someone before said), you need to get your distractions out of the way. Which means turning off the t.v, unpluging the internet(unless it's needed, when just resist going on youtube or whatever you go on!), out of sight out of mind, get your self away from whatever distracts you and put 100% of your focus and energy into what needs doing, priorities, think of why revising is important and get on with it. For me it's chocolate, especcialy around christmas and my birthday when theres loads of chocolate around, so i put it downstairs in the fridge and do homework upstairs! Procrastinating. It's a huge problem for me as well, and a lot harder to deal with than people think. I managed it by breaking the revision in to really small sections.

I have that problem too, I honestly never want to change my paper. Helps if you have a friend read it though. I like having someone read my papers because they catch the things that your eyes are too tired to see.

Write your essays a few days in advance of the due date. Give it a day and go back and read over what you wrote. This will give you perspective on what you wrote and make it easier to identify mistakes.
