How do some people go to college if they get bad grades at high school?

I keep seeing posts in here that some people are in college but that there grades were terrible in high school and I was wondering how did they get into college if they got bad grades ...show more

Answer:
Remember that people can pay for college but a lot of colleges around the country require a diploma (which you obviously wont get if your grades are that horrible). Like someone already said, they can start off at a community college, then transfer to a university later too
