Brandon, Manitoba?

I need directions to go from waterloo ontario to brandon manitoba without leaving canada?

  • I am driving from waterloo to Brandon Manitoba but don't have my passport so I cant leave canada just need to know the best way to get there!

  • Answer:

For all those that said it is so much shorter through the USA - it is 2193km that way, and 2242km going through Canada. So, about 50km different! (Going through Manitolin.) It is longer if you use the highway 69 to Sudbury - 2341km. Still not all that much longer (148km). Waterloo north through Fergus to Orangeville, east on 9 to the 400, then north to Parry Sound, where the 400 becomes the 69 (the Trans-Canada). Near Sudbury, go west on 17 (TCH again), and then just keep driving until you hit Brandon.

North on Hwy 400 and 69 up almost to Sudbury, turn left and just keep driving (and driving and driving and driving...)

Travel east along the 401 or #7 (longer) and go north along the 400. Keep on until you get to Sudbury. Turn left (go west) and stay on the Trans Canada til you get to Manitoba. I don't know if Brandon is on the Trans Canada or not, so you might want to check MapQuest or Google Maps for that.

Personally, I would suggest getting a passport (or an ehanced driver's license), it would be a lot faster and cheaper for you. You can always register your items when you get to the border before you enter into the US, so you don't have anything to worry about with regard to "duty" or anything like that. Keep in mind that gas is quite a bit cheaper in the United States as well. This website is VERY helpful for directions: http://maps.google.ca/ Trust me, go through the states—it'll be worth it!

Just stay on the Trans Canada HIghway. It goes from one end of the country to the other, without crossing the border.
