Waterloo, Ontario. Small town charm, big city amenities and is still thriving despite the recession. There are several job opportunities for people in all sectors, but technology and medicine are your best bets. Lately, property prices have dropped on average of 75K, due to the housing crisis.

to answer this you need to say what you do for a living because depending on what you do you can get a more detailed response. I work in high tech aviation but I live in a small city that you wouldn't associate with high tech. Also you should put in if you want a large or small city. Most of the large ones are in southern Ontario but the cost of housing is going to be higher.

None of the cities in Ontario will be affordable to you because there are no jobs in Ontario.
