Drinking ages are set by our Provincial & Territorial governments, not our Federal government. That's why drinking ages in Canada are 18 in the Provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. And 19 everywhere else in Canada, including Ontario. The flip side of lower drinking ages is stiffer penalties for drinking-related crimes. Here, drunk driving is a felony crime and not a misdemeanour like in most US states. You can lose your license for a year and gain a criminal record - on both sides of the border thanks to US/Canadian law enforcement reciprocity agreements - just for sitting in the drivers seat of a parked car while drunk. So for the sweet love of God, drink responsibly or you'll have a horrible experience in Canada. You'll also need full ID to convince bar workers you're not just another Canadian teenager with a fake US driver's licence. So have your wallet and passport handy.

18 to 19 depending on the province, in Ontario you have to be 19 to drink and gamble, the US having the age at 21 is just ridiculous.

You're good to go in every province but make sure you have good photo i.d., lots of it, licensed establishments won't serve you unless they are absolutely 100% sure you are legal.

Make sure you bring your id as proof of age cause being old enough isn't enough

Ontario is 19; across the provincial border in Quebec it is 18. The 21 year age of the USA is the highest in the world.
