Can someone explain slingbox to me?

Can I watch one channel on my slingbox while someone else watches another channel on the tv?

  I own the slingbox solo and have used it to stream mainly sporting events to my iPhone which has an unlimited data plan through AT&T. I also stream shows to my ipad when I am on vacation and have access to wifi and want to catch up on my DVR recorded shows. My Solo is 3 years old and hasnt had any problems so I figured I'd upgrade to the 350 to get better resolution. Set-up was a breeze after hooking up the Slingbox to my set top cable box. I logged onto my computer and launched the guide and within 5 minutes I was streaming TV to all of my devices. Being very tech, it is easy for me to say lots of electronics are easy to set up but knowing this I can say that 95% of you can easily set this slingbox up within minutes. If you want to use this to stream TV to your ipad/iphone expect to pay for your apps separately.
