How long does it take to cross Champlain Bridge in Montreal?

About a minute when not in rush hour traffic, up to 5-7 minutes when stuck in rush hour (or construction) traffic jams. I now tend to avoid the Champlain Bridge and use the Mercier Bridge instead.

I don't think averages matter very much these days as there are a lot of repairs being done which complicate entry, even during normally quiet times. You should check nearby bridges to see if you can use them or which public transportation is available.

When traffic is flowing, about 5 minutes. It is a short bridge. Now, the Confederation bridge, at 13km long connecting PEI to NB takes about 15 minutes.
