How to add an image to a button?

Rollover image sharing and add to cart button over photo?

• Hi, I am in the process of developing a website currently. It is an online retail website. I have visited a few sites like http://Wanelo.com and http://Thefancy.com on top of other websites as well. They have a function where you mouseover or rollover the image or product picture that something pops up. For the fancy it is the fancy this button and a small share button. For wanelo it is a few other buttons. I want to develop my own system similar where you can share an item and add an item to your cart directly from the image for each individual product. I don't want these buttons to be there unless you mouse over the item. Does anyone have some good information on how I can develop this? I think I heard CSS and Jquery are the common languages people use but I haven't found much information about exactly what I want as it is slightly complicated.

  Two thoughts: 1) In a smart phone / tablet world using hover for such a key interaction is probably far from optimal. I'd recommend you reconsider. 2) Fire up or Chrome's web development tools and see how these other sites have done it. "Borrow" some context from them and work from there.
