BPM = Beats Per Minute It helps to have a watch or a clock with a seconds hand on it. Bascially, just count how many times you feel your pulse within a minute. If you do it over a period of a few minutes, it's calculating a simple average. Like if you feel 120 pulses in 2 minutes: 120/2 = 60 BPM
