How do you feel when people call Myanmar Burma?

  • Until 1990, the standard name of the country was Burma; now it is Myanmar, but some people still prefer calling it Burma.

It takes time for new names to stick especially when the older names are more easily spoken and particularly familiar. For me, it will always be Burma - or Bpra-mar - as the translation when spoken in Thai language. I live in Thailand but would rather it be called Siam.
