Does eating lots of sweets and drinking lots of sweet drinks like fanta or coke cause diabetes?

No, it doesn't. If your pancreas is working, there is absolutely no problem (diabetes wise) with eating as much sugar as you wish. Eating sugar cannot 'overload' your pancreas. However, being overweight makes you more likely to have diabetes. It doesn't cause diabetes.

Yes! For gods sake yes! I wish more people would realise this! Diabetes is all related to your blood sugar levels...if you send your blood sugar levels soaring you can give yourself diabetes. The best thing to do would be to go to your doctor and ask about what your sugar consumption is doing to your body and what you can do to help yourself. It will also be destroying your teeth, probably giving you headaches too though it's mainly chocolate that does that, it could also cause restlessness, sleep deprivation, mood swings and of course gaining weight. Get healthy and good luck!
