What should I prepare for studying abroad?

I am studying abroad in Singapore for 5 months, what should I bring to prepare for the weather?

    I stopped there for 24 hours between legs to NZ. It's very clean and modern but the weather is horrible --- 30 degrees and heavy rain, black skies. Every where is air conned, even multistorey car parks! If I had to live and work there, it's be an office job because that's the kinda place it is, I'd wear light cotton clothes and keep a change of clothing in work. Just put a shirt and trousers/ skirt on a hangar and hook it up to the back of your chair. Change again when get home. It's a very dress-down culture btw. You'd prob look silly in a suit.

The weather is always either sunny/hot or rainy.You don't really need jackets or anything. You will be fine wearing shorts every day unless you are working.

jeans & shorts wil be fine. Singaporean always wear casual in shorts & vests. unless u r heading some business event or fomal dinner or so. My sis moved to Singapore 8 yrs ago so my family visited there quite often. The weather is super humid + rain all the time in a sudden. July to Sep is really HOT! no winter time in Singapore but raining season = Oct to early Dec. it wil rain like non stop........plus thurderstorm....... my sis said it's a record Singapore can rain 7 full days. anyway, no worry of the hot weather as they had air-cond like everywhere.
