Where Can I Get a Genuine Online Loan in Singapore?

Where can I get the best educational loan in Singapore?

  • I am a Singapore PR and will be studying at a university here. I need a loan to finance my studies and I am wondering where I could get the best rate? Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Answer:

Just the other day I'm also searching for education loan. and I've come up with these banks: RHB Bank: RHB Edu Loan - interest rates of 5.58 per annum It has 3 repayment options - standard repayment, graduated repayment and deferred repayment. You can look through their website at http://www.rhbbank.com.sg/cb_edu_loan.htm Can finance 8x of monthly income Maybank Education Loan - interest rate of 5.58% p.a. for a limited period only, Postgraduate Education Financing at only 3.88% p.a. http://info.maybank2u.com.sg/personal/loans/education_loan.htm DBS/POSBANK Posbank FUrther Study Assist - Interest of 5.88% p.a. 6x of monthly income, minimum loan amount is 2K http://www.dbs.com/posb/loans/studyassist/additionalinfo/faq/answers/#03 Other banks are from 6% and above. So yah, you can enquire from those banks that ive mentioned. BTW, CDAC, SINDA And Mendaki have some educational loans. You can checked thru their websites. You can try to look also at cooperatives. Just ask your parents if they are a coop members like Police COop and NTUC Coop. NTUC Cooperative NTUC Thrift - attractive interest rate of 5.350% per annum Police Cooperative Study Loan Scheme - interest is as low as 4% flat per annum + admin fee.

I did my research on this topic last year while I was applying for my own edu loan. The best place to get the loan is Citibank. Citibank has the fastest approval and requires less supporting documents. I got my check on the very day I submitted through the courier(free). Ha! The processing time is 2 hrs. RHB Bank has the same rate as Maybank.

You can try out HSBC.

Approach the local banks like DBS, UOB and OCBC. From experience I won't recommend HSBC. My daughter goes to the U this year. She need not have to pay anything, but a 4-year bond. During the 4 years in the U, she gets a pocket allowance.

Why dont you go to all the banks branches in Singapore & collect all the brochures & compare them. They are the safe place to lent a loan.

HSBC
