Get an agent, have him/her book you work in China and Japan. The agent will take a cut from every job you work. You can also approach an agency and be a part of their roster of talent.

You need to be an established model to get a job modeling in Japan. That may sound daunting, but it's not really so. Just do some modeling jobs where you live right now. That's now your portfolio you can send to a modeling agency in Japan. You can't immediately start off as an independent model, because you'll need a visa sponsor. And most modeling agencies will prefer someone who already has a work permit or visa over someone who has to be sponsored, so it'll be competitive. But not impossible. Looks aren't the only thing and some formal training as a model will get you far.
