Is the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game for kids only?

If you really get into some of the rules for Yu-Gi-Oh they are so complicated what with the "phases' and "chaining" that it's probably easier for adults/teens to play that children anyway. Most of the people at the tournament I go to are around my age (I'm around 20) and at the regional Tournament there were several adults as well. If someone makes fun of an adult for playing yugioh then that person's afraid to have some fun. Also it would be awesome to rub it in their faces when you get good enough to make money off it.

The cartoon is obviously marketed towards children, but the card game itself is just like any other card game, even poker. A 7-year-old could learn the rules and play against world champions, and the same could happen in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh. If you have no life and have to make fun of people who play card games, then you need to go get a job or something because you obviously have nothing better to do. I know kids as young as 6 playing Yu-Gi-Oh, and I know people as old as their 60's playing it at the same time. I am 16 and I have played it since it came out. Not afraid to admit it either.

In my local tournaments, most of the people that play are college kids, only about 3 out of like 50 are under 12

yes, and nerds which i admit to being some people spend hundreds of dollars on first editions, misprints, and japanese versions of rare cards

yes its Fun. Yes Kids, Teens Adults Play it, more so Teens as in terms of organized Play. I'm 19 i paly it.Yes i have a life im not ugly and got a GF oh my!!!! Do i get made fun of? No, not necessarily. It is perfectly normal for an adult to have common likes to things that people consider "Children's games" But depending on the maturity of the spectator or the commenter, it's not certain that they will taunt the player.

kids play it, teens play, adults play it, who gives a crap if your made fun of, you can be made fun of over the most trivial things

no, in a couple of years time those buggers are going to be worth alot of money, alot of people over the age of 20 collect these cards dont worry we all have a child side to us
