Actually, the time frame is defined by Federal Reg Z for those of us in the US. The details will be spelled out on the back of your cc statement. If memory serves, it's 60 days from the statement where the disputed charge first appears. I've posted a link to the Reg Z language below. It will be far easier to read the back of your cc statement. ;o)
