Ramadan after the month of fasting which starts next month I think.

on-point

Ramadan is a holy month and one of the five pillars in Islam. Muslims must fast for 30 days from dawn to sun down every day for 30 days. In Ramadan Qur'an was revealed to Mohammed "PBUH". The Qur'an says, in Surat Maryam, "Surely We have revealed the Remembrance, and surely We shall preserve it" (Qur'an 15:9), In Ramadan, Muslims will fast not only on food but also all the wrong doings. Most good Muslims will spent most of their times praying all days and nights in the month of Ramadan and help other needy people and pay their annual Muslim tax 2% of cach money they could have. After saying goodbye to Ramadan and pray to live for the next year to do the fasting, Muslems will clebrate a festival of breacfast"Elfetr" and they vist each other after they pray fest prayer.

Beside the weekly Friday observance as the day God created Adam the next major Muslim holiday is Ramadan (for information on Ramadan see: http://www.haqislam.org/ramadan.htm ) which ends with Eid ul-Fitr (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_ul-Fitr ) - a celebration of the end of Ramadan buy breaking the fast and thanking Allah (God) for aiding them to have the self-discipline to actually complete the fast. As the wikipeida article says: For Muslims, Eid ul-Fitr is a joyous occasion with important religious significance, celebrating of the achievement of enhanced piety. It is a day of forgiveness, moral victory, peace of congregation, fellowship, brotherhood and unity. Muslims celebrate not only the end of fasting, but also thank God for the help and strength that they believe he gave them throughout the previous month to help them practice self-control. It is a time of giving and sharing, and many Muslims dress in holiday (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_ul-Fitr ). I hope this helps.

First of all i thank you for your courage of posting this kind of question here, don't mind the bad comments of some "people" they are just scared, scared of the unknown... Ramadan is the next big "thing" for us moslems it'll start either on the 12th or the 13th of this month and it last one month.

Have a great time celebrating Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashannah. http://www.angelfire.com/ma/shayni/roshashona.html Thanks for asking.
