Will people make fun of my accent in egypt?

I have an Arabic accent when speaking English. And I have a little English accent when speaking Arabic. Kind of weird lol. Don't worry, people there have accents in English. And hardly anyone will laugh.

On the other hand, we will help you.

i don't know. I have the same problem also. when ever my dads friends talk to me they speak to me in arabic and when they find out i only know some then they're like "...oh." do you have egyptian tv? because you could watch and listen to them when they talk, and practice, maybe.

do not worry , egyptian are so kind and polite and they will help you if they notice you are not Arabic speaking person ..get rid of your fear and start talking ..w Ahalan Wa Sahlan Ya Ammora

i wouldn't make any fun of you rather than smile at you when you make a mistake so yeah that would be attractive and paying attention hope you enjoy your stay in Egypt

"Why did you think that I forgot about you?" You are one of my favorites in Y!A :) As for your worries, you don't need to worry at all. People will love your accent if it is American, especially boys LOL People don't care about grammar. Our spoken Arabic is far from being correct. Egyptians love to help whose who learn Arabic. I am very self conscious when I talk in English too, but you will never learn unless you make mistakes. I learn the most from my mistakes, because I really hate making mistakes!
