honestly, those shoes look like they wont hold you up at all. i got the circa 205 vulc, and those shoes were great. they lasted about 5 months and i skate every day, multiple hours a day. i also had some es's and they were great too. they lasted a while.

personally i skate in the low-top converse and etnies.but thats just me. etnies wear out pretty fast though. and i have 3 pairs of vans, not era's, and they are pretty comfy. ive heard that the era's are good though! so get a pair if ya want and wear them around for a while, try em out! if they dont work, see if you can return them, or just have them to wear and not skate in. =]

I had them for two years when i got them, but unlike today, I wasn't shredding on them, so I don't know how they would hold up. If anything, they would last longer than any other skate shoe you could find. canvas shoes are some of the longest lasting around, because they lack the ridiculous number of seams and panels of other shoes. I don't know what kind of skating you do, but if it involved your wheels leaving the ground I wouldn't skate in those. You're asking for a busted or rolled ankle. I suggest the Ipath rastas. That's what i use, and for not being a technical shoe, they last forever, and are light, and not too bulky, but not stingy on the padding. the insole that comes with those is terrible, so I got some dr. scholls. Those vans are more lifestyle shoes anyway... you're not gonna get away with paying 40 dollars for anything good that will last you more than three months. If you wanna go the economical canvas route and keep some ankle support, I'd get chucks. I've skated in those, and the fuzzy, slippery outsole is perfect for new griptape.

I've been skating for seven years and I can tell you that those shoes do not look stable. You would tear through those easy if you do flip tricks. I bought a pair of ipaths at some store for twenty dollars and they've lasted me a year (Even though they are torn, they are still are skate-able) I've learned Adios aren't good for skating. But some pairs of Nike SB's, Osiris's, Fallen's, Ipath are good. Remember to find a shoe that is not only durable but FLEXIBLE.

stay away from vans. they don't last (if you're are a hardcore skater of course, okay if you are a beginner.) try any of the nike dunks. I love these... http://www.flickr.com/photos/cosplaychamp/2299730650/

I skate on the same vans as those and they are so great! But if they are not your style you may want to go with the regular slip on vans!

Dude Get some regular Vans. Like the checkerboard kinds. Those look like old people shoes!
