Shouldn't be too bad, I think the methods are largely the same, nearly identical if you do inline skates (roller blades) rather than roller skates because inline skates are modeled after ice skates with a single run of wheels in the middle of the skates. The conditioning for one will help you with another, ie, strengthening your ankles and legs, cardio, balance etc. The only problem might be finding the time to do both, or the expenses involved with both. If that is a problem, just try one. When you are able to add the second, you will have a good start on knowing how.

Roller skating is just for fun, and not technical like Ice skating. You will be using the same muscles, thus strengthening them. I find both Roller Blading and Ice Skating to be easier than Roller Skating. I think when you get on Ice skates after Roller Skates, you will feel less restriction and realise how much more you can do on ice sktates. Or try rollerblades.

it dont really matter. just remember that roller skates, your on wheels, and on ice skates, its just a shart 2cm(?) blade. and in ice skating, you stop on the side using your blade and on roller skates, you either use the front or back, or just run into the wall to stop yourself. i think roller skating is harder b/c the wheels are a lot easier to move on accident rather than a blade thats shoved into a skate that wont move. make sure to get the "balancing" thing right. that will help a lot!

well ice skating takes more ballance then roller skating does, so in my opintion i would practice more with the roller skating.

You definitely can. They are basically the same thing.

they're pretty much the same thing. You can do either one. I learned to do them and did them both during the week while i was still learning.

As far as I can tell, it is pretty much the same thing... If I were you, I would learn to Roller Skate first then move on to Ice Skating.
♥ ☺ Sorry... I'm a girl! ☺ ♥
no their both basically the same Just on different grounds.

Learn one then the other. Doing both at the same time can be difficult BUT if you enjoy them both very much I say learn them both at the same time
