How do I read trending articles in topics in RSS format?
-
There are Google News, Yahoo News, Bing News. Any more you can think of that I can get RSS for?

Answer:
"RSS format" does not contain any (significant) text ... There's nothing to read in an RSS file. Ditto for Atom and other RSS compatible files. RSS files contain (only) a list of "article descriptions" which includes (only) the article's title, publisher, date and its URL (i.e., HTTP links to the article's HTML document on some web server in the Internet). To "read RSS articles" you need an application that 1) reads the RSS file, 2) displays the article titles (and maybe a short description of where it is (e.g., "CNN", "Reuters", etc.) and when it was published -- info which is stored in the RSS file) and, 3) provides you with the "link" (which you click to open the article ... on whatever server it's located). Most browsers have that capability but if you want a standalone application to "read RSS articles" then Google (or search) "RSS Applications". Note: Most search engines (and many news sites) will allow you to create custom RSS "feeds". What happens is this: You enter a search for news/articles/etc and the server gives you a link which "contains" your search (and which you store in your browser or RSS reader); At any subsequent time, you hit the "feed link" and the search is performed again (and you can perform this search automatically or manually); Each time you hit the "feed link" a new RSS file (containing nothing but "article descriptions") is delivered to you. Ooops ... The RSS file will, also, contain (sometimes) the first paragraph (or a selected portion) of the article's content.
