Has anyone tried "deep freeze?

Hi. Anyone help with "freeze ahead" tried and proven recipes?

    First of all, you're not going to be "down" just limited to light duty. However to answer your ? I cook & freeze many meals for my own convenience. Chili-Make it up a gallon at a time & freeze single servings in tupperware or freezer bags. Soup of any kind except potato, same treatment. Pot roast can be made leaving out the potatoes, (they don't freeze well) simply heat & add canned potatoes. Chicken in any form can be cooked & frozen in single servings, I do Chicken ala King. Bag & freeze, thaw & serve over toast points I also freeze fried chicken. Reheat it in the oven I also do red beans & rice, dirty rice & fried rice. I've yet to find a rice dish that doesn't freeze well. Good luck with your surgery. Be sure to do the rehab exercises you will be given.

Look through the supermarket frozen meals and pick the ones you like and say "I can make that" Buy what you need and make up 3-4 and freeze. Every-time you cook a meal make an extra serving. Tonight I am reheating one I made a week ago, an orzo salad with a minced lamb curry. That may not appeal to you but it will be a nice dinner.
