If you hit a golf ball with a good driver, how far can you make it go?

I can drive the ball about 330 yards, It's not the driver that makes the ball go that far though. It's all in the mechanics of my swing. I used to have a really bad slice but tinkered with my swing a bit and now I'm hitting really good drives. It takes practice and patience. For the record, my driver is a MacGregor V~Foil that I bought used for $10 at a golf expo. One of my better golf-related purchases.

Well I max out at around 300 (I've gotten there a few times with no help, no wind, slope, or cart path bounces) but I average around 250. The best long drivers in the world though, can hit it around 400 yards, maybe more consistently.

450 yards was my longest drive, of course that was downhill with tail wind on a par four that I drove the green on, it hasn't happened since. I average around 300 yards with my Cleveland Launcher.

I'm a pretty small 15 year old and I've hit a couple almost 400 this year so a bigger person with the right swing could prolly hit it much further

On a runway, about 1.5 miles. ha ha In the air with no wind, about 280 yds. or so. With a little tailwind and some bounce and roll, maybe 320 yds. How 'bout you?

Maximum distance? Take a look at the long drive competitors, they can hit it 4 bills (400 yards) but i think people can go further with the right technique and sonic boom-alike impact =) cheers
