Whatэs going on with my antifreeze coolant in my car?

I have no heat in my car whats going on?

  • Im replacing the thermostat but my car is not over heating, i have a coolant leak but its a very small one and its not internaly either, what else can be the reason?

  • Answer:

Some cars need to be purged of air before they will fill up with coolant. Yours might be one, you failed to mention what it is. It could be the thermostat froze open, it will never reach operating temp, keep an eye on the temp gauge, do not let it overheat, if it does , I would suspect a blown head gasket.

Either coolant is not flowing through the heater core and/or the blower motor is not working. A 3rd possibility is no air flow through the air intake. The coolant leak is another problem and should also be fixed.

If the thermostat is stuck open then it wont overheart but it will also noy slow the water either to warm it before entering heater core. Visit the forum in my profile.

You haven't even suggested a reason you have no heat but you sure gave a lot of information saying you shouldn't be working on it.
