What are good colleges for both engineering and law?

Why it is difficult in India to pursue any other career options apart from conventional engineering, doctor, Lawyer? Why are other colleges for design, photography, arts, dramatics etc not famous as are IITs, AIMS, NITs, National Law colleges?

    Because the "non-conventional" options like sports, dramatics etc are considered "unstable" or "risky" sources of livelihood. The general mindset is that doing something substantial in these fields is a matter of chance, as opposed to engineering, medicine etc where it is assumed that these guarantee you a basic minimum standard of living, and so you will definitely not be living hand-to-mouth.   By the way, there are very good colleges for dramatics, fine arts etc also (one of the few good sarkari things to have happened in India). But these are lesser in number, and anyways the awareness (or craze) for these places is not there, as the subject matter they specialize in are not the primarily sought-after options for majority of the population, due to reasons explained above.

Dude, this is India ! If you score (unfortunately) well in 10th, then you'll have to take up science because humanities is for dumb, good-for-nothing fellows with no future at all, due to this many students are lost because they would prefer to be a mediocre science student rather than brilliant arts student. I get surprised by question on IITians and engineers on Quora, as if only engineers use Quora. Situation can be changed but right now the possibility is too bleak.
