Hi you will have to apply for a new driving licence with counterpart. it cost £20 it takes 7 working days. my son lost his as well . and that is what they told me on the phone.

Tell your friend they are a dick head. You do not get points on your license if you lose your existing one. Your wallet is lightened a little as you have to pay for the replacement.
