Do I still have to take a driving test in Texas if I already went to driving school?
-
I was wondering if I could just go to the DPS office pay for my license and keep it moving. Or if I still have to take the driving test if I went to school for it already?

Answer:
If you already have your license and it hasn't expired or been revoked you just take it to the new state's MVD and tell them you've just moved and need to get your license transferred. You will still need to pay for the Tx license but won't need to take the test again (unless that's changed lately). You will need to give them a residence address in the state you're getting the new license in. If you have endorsements on your license (like for a motorcycle, for example) you should tell the clerk to make sure those are also transferred.
