How do you find inspiration to start volunteering?

    Make a list and prioritze it, scratch off the places that are far away, make you emotionally upset or are difficult for you to schedule. Get up and get there. I guarantee half the battle your facing is just getting there in the first place. It might help if you make a day out of it, what I mean is make plans to do something nearby after you get done. That way you have motivation for getting there and afterwords you can do something fun. Don't worry that you'll be worked to death. Everyone understands that when you do work without pay you are doing them a favor Once you do it, you'll say " hey that wan't bad at all and I met some neat people and made a difference" I've voluteered more times than I can count and always end up happy that I did

I believe that volunteering should be because YOU want it. I volunteer because I am passionate about animals. No one could have made me volunteer to do ANYTHING! That's why the word "Volunteer" is what it is. It does give me gratitude on a daily basis! Good luck finding your niche.

Find a cause that really moves you. Neglected animals won over my heart, so i spend time volunteering to help them.

You really need to think about the kind of people you want to help, such as: children, infants, elders, adults, or teens. Then you have to decide on a issue that might effect you or someone in your life, then find an organization off of your website that will help you to acheive your goul. To be a volunteer you really have to be able to put your heart out there though, so if you are not ready to do this then maybe you should try something else for motivation, because with the wrong attitude you are capable of causing more harm then good.

Ask a friend if they do volunteer work and if so where. Talk to them about what they do and why they do it. Then ask them if it would be okay if you tagged along to see what it is like. It may not necessarily be any thing you would really like to do but it will give you some insight into what volunteering is all about.
