Tips on memorization?

Memorization tips???? ANYONE?

  • I have to do an oral report in french, so i REALLY need some good and effective memorization tips. THE BEST ONE WILL GET 10 PTS!! ;)

    ok... i've had to memorize a few things in my school career, so what you do is: 1) read with the work in front of you a few a few times 2) say it WITHOUT[!!!!!!!!!!!!] the paper, but have it close just in case 3) preform it in front of people, having them hold your work so they can give you cues if u need to you should have it memorized, if not close, after that. another word of advise, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! i just a presentation today (Shakespeare) and i had to memorize a [minimum of] ten line speech, but i had it memorized after about a week of doing the steps above. i hope this helps alot!!!

Whenever I have long things to memorize I make it into a song. Memorizing songs are really easy, so find a song you really like and instead of putting in the song lyrics put in your french report. It works all the time.

Honestly, repetition is the most effective way to memorization. Well for me at least. Just repeat over and over again until you can remember. For foreign languages it helps if you do it in a sing-songy kinda way. Hope this helps!

kk -you need to take 5 words at a time. Read them off of the script, then say it with out. Say it without a script 5-8 times. honestly i SUCK at memorizing....the only thing that helped me was key words and REPETITION, REPETITION, REPETITION

write conversations lots of times and pretty much do anything like say french to people and say what it means. i do that all the time with spanish :D

match the words with images that will help you remember.

Say it out loud, visualize what you're supposed to memorize, if it's not exactly easy to visualize, visualize someone saying it or something. Hope I helped, works for me.
