Does anyone have a good science fair project idea?

My 11 year old is participating in the 4th grade science fair and needs a good project idea .anyone have one?

    Ok, This project is called how to float an egg..... you take 3 mason jars, 3 eggs, salt, and water, but dont forget the mixing spoon. In the 1st jar, dont put any salt in the jar, just water and the egg. In the second jar, put a 1\4 of a cup of salt in and stir it up well, then put the egg in, 3rd jar put in a 1\2 cup salt, stir well, put the egg in. They should be at 3 different elevations.

Here's a question I've been dying to test but just haven't had the time.... Are clothes that are regularly ironed with spray starch more or less stain resistant? Are clothes that are regularly washed and rinsed with fabric softener more or less stain resistant? I am not sure if this has ever been tested and could win points for originality if nothing else.

Yes I just helped my grand son with a science project. he won. Get a piece of sturdy cardboard and some food coloring make a volcano out of any paper with flames lava and make trees paint the cardboard and add mountains with the colored paper. and water stream with blue paint and an edge for the stream. add dinosaurs all around and that write about the dinosaurs and there distinction. It will look great.

i did one when I was in 4th grade and i did a bird thing. I had food and chop sticks,spoon,toothpicks. They had to see how many pieces of food they could get in a cup in like 30sec. Hope it works
