SURE - Nice to see a real question instead of all the pop gossip nonsense! Can Plants grow without soil? Can plant grow in water only? How much light does it take to grow plants? What are the best and worse lighting patterns? What kind of light is best>/ How long? Do tall plants produce more produce than short plants? How close is too close to plants seeds for best results.

Aim: Does the daily amount of water given to a plant effect how tall it will grow. Now get about 5 seeds of the same plant and every day give each a different quantity of water then measure how tall they are, draw a line graph after a certain amount of days

Keep three plants in there own self contained box, and put them under different lights: sunlight, effervescent light, and black light. You can find these at your grocery store. Make sure you water them with the same amount of water as to not add other variables. Then observe them each day, or every other day. Or you could do a similar thing, but instead of using light, use music. contain one in rock music, one in country music, one in rap music, ect. But use the same amount of sunlight and water. Again, observe them each day.

Have several different substances and find how long it take for them to freeze. To so this find the telemeter of our freezer and fill each cube in an ice cube tray with some thing. Water should be the control. then what ever you want, catchup, soy sauce, beer, mustard, vinegar, what ever. then check back every 15 minutes and record if it is liquid solid or slush. Easy and impressive

growing plants in water is always a cool topic that can easily be made into a great science fair project officialy its called hydroponic gardening, so you can grow plants without dirt. potentially these plants can be grown in outer space kinda nifty and you could make a small hydroponic kit with some tupperware and plastic cups

Well I am 14 and When I was in 7th grade I used different soils and tried to see which soil made the plant grow taller. Or you could use water as your manipulated varibal and change the fertilizer or mess around, try to have some fun with it even though sience projects suck! good luck:)
