Can i get kicked out of a store for wearing an obama shirt?

Let me get this straight. Your old enough to be in college, but you need daddy to go talk to your boss?? Obviously, you failed to realize that you are an at will employee, and could be fired for any reason. If the store manager feels your shirt is offensive, then he can have you removed. Go ahead and play the race card if you wish, it seems to be working for obama...

What? I can understand him not wanting you to wear the shirt, but calling the cops is absolutely insane.

He has the right to kick you out if you're trying to register voters in a private establishment. Do it on the sidewalk!

You weren't working so he can't tell you what to wear. The best thing for you to do is go to his immediate supervisor and tell him of the treatment you received from the manager.

The Press asked Michael Jordan years ago, what his political views are... Finally he broke down and said he supported Democrats. Why wouldn't you answer immediately? Republicans buy shoes too!!! CVS doesn't want you expressing your political views, why? Because McCain supporters could come in and see you. Then what are you going to do if they decide, "I'm not going to shop there anymore..." If they believe Obama is going to hurt them by raising their taxes by double, do you think they are going to enjoy seeing a person responsible for their economic pain? If you are a CUSTOMER, No... If you are an employee, even OFF duty. They may recognize you as part of the store... You should have better sense. I guess you're young and naive not ever had to really work for a living. When you're out there busting your butt owning your own business, you can't make any customer angry... CVS V.P. may have even gone so far as fire you for pulling such a stunt. What if somebody sued CVS? I'd go to my manager and say, "Hey, I had it on and wasn't thinking about it too clearly. I apologize for putting you and the company in an awkward position."

You have the right to wear your shirt. And he has the right to kick you out of his store. "Freedom of speech" refers to the govt not telling you what you can/can't say. It does not even imply that private citizens have to put up with what you say.
