If a child is born on an airplane how would his place of birth be classified or his nationality be determind?

If the place is in international territory. baby becomes a citizen of the country where the plane is from, in addition the parents country has also its own law, where sometimes they follow the parents citizenship wherever they are. in this instance, baby has Dual citizenship until he/she reaches 18yrs of age when he/she is required to give up one. if the plane is in US territory then baby is US citizen bec thats their law, unless dual citizenship is still applicable.

he would take on the parents nationality and it would say on the birth certificate that he was born on a plane, plus airlines dont usually let pregnant woman who are close to their due date fly incase of things like this and the higher risk of deep vein thrombosis

Nationality of plane I think, if a baby is born on a boat it takes the nationality of the boat.

as far as i know for example inside british airways it is british soile and it doesn't matter where they are.. so if some one was born In british Airways the place of birth would be Britain..

It would have dual nationality. The nationality of the plane it was flying in...its own parents and maybe over the territory it was flying over....If the plane was stationary at the airport then at the airport at where it was born......:)

It depends if the aeroplane was actually flying, and whereabouts in the world it was situated I guess.
