If i drop my class will it cancel my fiancial aid?

schools started and im taking 13 credits and i want to drop a class thats worth 4 credits if i drop it now will it cancel my fiancial aid or mess anything up? or what if i wait awhile ...show more

It wont cancel your Finaid, but it will affect it. Finaid is based on your status (ft or pt). Either way, dropping it now ar later, will affect it the same way. schools don't actually process the finaid until after the add/drop period; for that reason. If you wait too long, then you would have to withdraw from the class, and that could either not affect it at all or they could make you pay money back, if you got a refund. I would just say drop the class asap, and talk to your finaid people. they are usually pretty nice and can give you exact amount of the difference it'll make!

I suggest you either keep the class or put another course in it's place. Dropping the course may effect your financial aid because you will no longer be considered a matriculated student.
