What countries don't require 6 months validity on your passport?

I want to book a holiday but my passport runs out in August. Where in europe can I go with less than 6 months left on it?

If you are a British citizen? No country in Europe will ask this of you. You can go until the last day of your passport validity.

I went to France when my passport only had 2 weeks to run. If you are going from EU country to EU country I don't see why you would need 6 months validity, as long as you hold a passport from an EU country.

Any EU (or EEA) country, as far as I know. As long as your passport is valid when you're due to leave, you're good to go.
