    I use http://www.bigwords.com They are a textbook search engine that searches all the online textbook retailers (including amazon, half, ebay etc) and rental sites (including chegg, bookrenter etc) to find you the best prices. You can even use them at the end of the semester to search for resellers to sell your books to.

You can also try http://www.bookmallonline.com for college textbooks.

If you know you won't need the books again then you should rent instead of buy. I use chegg.com. It's fast, easy and you don't have to deal with selling at the end of the semester. Use this coupon: CC101135 and save an extra 5%. Textbooks.com is good though, but definatly not the cheapest.

There is a website called DealOz. You type in the book you are looking for into the search, and it searches all the websites that have that book, and what the cheapest prices are. I've gotten books from all over using that site.

i bought books solely from amazon.com and half.com (half.com is run through ebay, but theres NO bidding!) i got all my books completely new, or a barely used in the long run what does it matter if a book has been flipped through a few times? in high school the school gave us used books for the whole year...you can sell books online when you're done with them anyways. if i had purchased books from my university bookstore i wouldve run costs well past $500 but i only spent about $325, so i would definitely check out those sites!
