What are the best sites for car accessories?

What are the most profitable/cost-effective cars to post on P2P car-sharing sites?

  • Profitability/cost-effectiveness is defined as being able to make the most money on your shared car after car payment, insurance and gas is paid for. I'm considering buying a car solely to rent it out on a car-sharing marketplace, in the hopes of profiting Or, at the very least, owning a car for no cost. These car types or models would be popular cars to rent while not being too expensive to buy. What car(s) would be the best ones to look at buying?

  • Answer:

I noticed http://carsharing.de is quite big. Way bigger than the UK version. Makes a lot of sense for cross border Europe travel, especially when able to share ferries. It's not that popular though. Cuba simply made it law since before the net; don't think anything's changed there. I wonder why communist China hasn't got this?

It's obviously going to depend on what renters in your area are looking for. The depreciation cost per mile of a car are usually higher for newer/more expensive cars. I'd say the cheapest car that is (a) reliable and (b) nice enough that renters in your area are willing to drive it. I'd guess a 4-7 year old car for a cheaper model (e.g. basic Honda) or maybe 5-10 years for a slightly nicer model.
