The reality of it is, you have to be able to convince people to "buy today". You have to be able to overcome objections and sell yourself. "Give me the chance to earn your business Ms Jones". Bottom line is a good salesperson is the one who makes the most money for the dealership and themselves. And STILL, somehow, makes the customer think they got a good deal. I couldn't do it because my financial interests were exactly the opposite as the customers. But, when I became a curbstone dealer, It was a true win-win situation, I made a fair profit and they got a car cheaper than anywhere else.

You have to lie convincingly. You have to make it look like you believe in the crap you are selling. It is a good car and it is a good deal. It won't last. Be sincere (faking it of course) but you have to make it believable. Then know how to close the deal. Here, sign here.
