See, one thing that is sh*t about minimum wage is if you were a loyal employee that has worked there for say three years, now your employer can hire someone with no experience to do what you do for $6.50 per hour. So you make $.30 per hour more and he/she and they have no experience. Doesn't this make you feel good?

No, actually what it means is that your value becomes less to your employer because you do not maintain a certain percentage rate above minimum wage. Plus, it might also mean, that the wage increases would cause them to hafta get rid of the more expensive wage earners to hire more people at plain minimum wage just to break even from where they were before. See, minimum wage increases are benificial after all.

No. Unless your wage was minimum, the change occuring will not effect you (sadly). A good idea is to request a wage raise because minimun wage inceased, since technically that lowers the value of your work. A wage raise would restore your value to the same as it was before, or more.
