Home based buisness//can anyone help?

I once helped a guy start a telemarketing company out of his home. What he did was recruit people to make calls part time from there own homes while he called on area small businesses and offered his services at a discounted INTRODUCTORY rate. Now structuring the pitch and prices really depends on what businesses you're going after. For example if you're working a client's database - informing their customers of an upcoming sale - your prices will be low and based on volume. If you're cold calling businesses trying to set-up bid appts for a service company (lead generation) then you'll charge on results (typically it's $10 - $15 per appt in the midwest). If you're starting out with no cash this would be my first step, it's an easy sell and only requires a phone book and telephone. There is no such thing. Sorry. Anyone that tries to tell you otherwise is a scammer. There are things you CAN do for some pocket change, like sell Avon and hold make up parties etc, but I would call them a hobby rather than a business. If you want to make a living out of it, it will cost you money. If you have the skills and equiptment, book keeping maybe?
