What to expect after graduating from Mechanical Engineering school?

What is the salary one can expect 90 days after graduating from  the vocational school TradeCraft?

  • TradeCraft is charging $12,000 for 12 weeks of training in non-technical positions in tech companies (e.g. UX, Growth, sales, etc). They are offering financing, and a money back guarantee if the student is not placed into a job within 90 days after graduation. 1. How much can someone expect to make at the end of their program? Hourly? What is the *minimum* one can expect to earn hourly or salary? 2. Is there 100% financing available? 3. Are the students being placed in the companies they work at during the 12 weeks? 4. The problem with vocational schools is they charge a lot of money, and don't teach the skills necessary for students to obtain jobs at the end of the program.  Then the students are saddled with huge debts to payoff with out job prospects. What is TradeCraft doing to prevent this from happening to its students? Source: http://techcrunch.com/2013/11/15/tradecraft/#! Site: http://tradecrafted.com/

  • Answer:

I'm a previous student. Within a month of my cohort ending (well within the 90 day period), a number of students have already accepted offers for positions at a variety of high profile companies. I've personally received a very substantial offer, and I know others within our cohort who have seen salaries between $60k and $100k.

Other answers

1. The average salary for an entry-level position at an early stage company for TC alums has ranged between $60k-$90k. 2. Not sure on the specifics on financing, but past students have done that.3. The majority of students land a gig after completing the program, but it's not unheard of people finding full-time jobs within their time at Tradecraft. 4. Towards the end of the program, you'll focus on landing a job, which the instructors will help you with networking/personal-branding/interviewing. Even after the program, you'll have constant support helping you find a job. I have yet to hear of an alum struggling to find a job. Note: I'm a previous student.
